insecurity of writing
I am convinced that every aspiring writer like me has been put many times the question "Why write?". It 's a matter of course, find the motivation at all costs (or justification) this passion.
When someone asks me "Why do you write?" I would answer with another question: "Has anyone ever asked why do you live? No, but you do." I consider writing a natural, inherent in the personality of each. Then there are those who get to make it a passion or, in more fortunate cases, a job and a livelihood to pay the mortgage.
you know so why do a certain thing, in our case (mine and those who are reading this post) this is understood as "writing" is an important step toward its understanding, a factor that will help get the most benefit possible .
Above all, know why it helps you write better.
There are four questions that I jump in head and frequently are:
- Why do I write?
- What inspires me to do?
- What is my purpose?
- What do I feel as I write?
- not think you consider yourself a writer in vain?
Finding answers to these questions is not easy but essential. I will try in this post and I think every aspiring writer should try to do the same. Maybe we could do it together, no?
Why do I write?
As I said at the beginning of this post, because there is no well-defined. It 'a desire that lives inside of me, my nature, an incredible force that pushes me to put myself in front of the PC and start beating on the keyboard.
I've always loved writing since childhood. Maybe because I've always been a reader (an avid reader) and this has prompted me to wonder many times how it feels to be "other side" to try it out.
I think if you feel a force, an almost physical need to write up stories and then you have to do a priori, without considering the pros and cons of this activity.
What inspires me to do?
Obviously anyone or anything. Certainly not the dreams of glory. I am well aware that very little was invested in young people in Italy (in general) and even fewer in young writers. The publishers do not publish if you do not pay, the public does not "shit" to smear unknown authors, the chances of success are minimal.
This is good to put it in head start.
If you want to write with the sole purpose of making money then it is better to open a bar or find another way.
Writing is a passion almost counterproductive because it requires numerous and intense effort and pays off with a few crumbs. But those crumbs are still steeped in satisfaction, many satisfaction.
The only thing that needs to push to write is the passion, combined with the fact of "wanting to say something." This does not mean that you necessarily have to have something to say (including "mean something" and "having something to say" there is the same difference between my Fiat Punto and the BMW M3 of my head).
mean something means having the strength and passion to follow their own ideas, challenge them and make them travel.
What is my purpose?
Well, of course, every writer's dream: to become the new Garcia Marquez, Coelho and Stephen King. To be successful, selling millions of copies, to ensure that students write the sentences in my novels or diaries on the links of social networks, become filthy rich and live only in writing, see my books made into movies.
a dream but why not do everything to ensure that you achieve?
Obviously my goal right now is much more down to earth: fun.
It is not just a wish, it is also an obligation that I have imposed. The day I realize that writing does not give me more joy, then stop.
But until then, woe to me from these moments.
What do I feel as I write?
Well, here things get complicated.
I write because I feel a rush inside, creative ecstasy that covers me and does nothing but ricondurmi of my characters, the story I'm creating, deleting the rest. When I write, I walk away from the world, are in another place, another world, another life, where there is only my story and the sound of my fingers on the keyboard.
E 'an uncontrollable frenzy, a desire to throw out everything I have in mind, giving it a complete form.
When I finished I feel good. This is the only thing that matters.
not think you consider yourself a writer in vain?
often happen to have this question walking around your head. Especially as there was always insecure, almost devoid of self-esteem and you are not aware of their abilities. Otherwise we would not be artists, no?
I think being a writer means being able to turn ideas into words, sentences, paragraphs and so on. Being able to give them a form and a substance that takes shape through the pages.
It means knowing how to convey an emotion in anyone who reads a small excerpt of your composition. Any kind of emotion, even negative.
be a writer is able to convey emotions to the reader.
Being a writer means to seduce and keep the reader glued to your pages. This means to me be a writer. Regardless of the sales.
